Are you curious but still have some questions about this Reiki/meditation thing?

Maybe you’re a city dweller and when you think about meditating, you picture someone sitting on a mountain and staring at a sunset. Will meditation be just as effective in your apartment that overlooks a busy street?

Or you’ve heard of Reiki, but don’t understand how it works. How can someone make a difference in the way you feel just by waving their hands over you?

Or you’re worried that you’ll try one of these treatments and the practitioner will tell you that your chakras are out of balance. Then what will you do?

New here?

I got you.

A Reiki master, known as "the Healer Next Door,"

Hello!

My name is Lisa Batitto, and I’m an intuitive Reiki Master, Consciousness Advisor, and corporate mindfulness teacher. But you can think of me as the “Healer Next Door” who’s here to break things down for you!

Let’s talk Reiki. What is it?

Reiki is a Japanese stress reduction and relaxation technique that promotes healing. Reiki is based on the principle that a life force energy flows through us and connects us to each other. You experience this energy when you hug a loved one or when you click with someone you just met.

The healing powers of Reiki are rooted in science. Hospitals around the world, such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Yale New Haven Hospital, offer Reiki to their patients because it helps with recovery from surgery, improves mental attitude, and reduces the side effects of medication and other medical procedures. You might see it used by chiropractors or therapists because it helps heal physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pain.

During a healing session, a Reiki practitioner combines their life force with yours and refocuses it on your energy centers — or chakras. This opens and aligns your chakras, which in turn makes you feel stable and secure.

Back to you …

Maybe you landed on this website because you recently suffered a loss.

Maybe you were laid off and are having trouble finding work.

Maybe you are feeling isolated from the things and people you love the most.

Whatever it is, you miss something that matters to you. That’s understandable!

These losses can cause stress, which can reveal itself in physical symptoms such as back pain or sleep deprivation. Taking medication can provide relief, but it’s usually only temporary. Reiki and meditation release the stress that causes the discomfort, leaving you feeling better! Reiki is not a substitute for a doctor’s care, but it can support other medical therapies.

People turn to Reiki and meditation because of the feelings of relaxation they bring. These therapies work just as effectively remotely as they do in person. Clients often say they could feel their muscles being massaged during a Reiki session, and sometimes we aren’t even in the same time zone! They returned for more sessions for the simple reason that it felt good.

So …  are you ready to feel good?
