The Levels of Reiki

It's time for a confession. I didn't really understand what the different Reiki levels meant when I first started my healing journey.

But now that I'm a master, I know how important it is for you to be aware of your Reiki practitioner's level. This way, you'll be clear about what's going to happen during your session.

There are typically three different levels of Reiki training, with each one centered around attunements and ceremonies. The earlier Reiki levels provide education and practice opportunities with the more higher-level sessions focusing on empowering others. The first level is for maintaining a healthy body and spirit, the second level for healing, and the third level for spiritual growth.

You can take beginner-level Reiki classes without any previous experience with energy work. Many people believe the goal of Level 1 is self-healing, but there's a lot more to it than that. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and causes us to be alive.

Level 2 training builds on Level 1 and offers new skills for you to practice on others. You can open their energy channels at this level. You also receive your symbols at the end of Level 2, which is focused on opening your heart chakra, the midpoint between your physical and spiritual chakras.

Reiki Masters can attune others to Reiki, as well as teach others how to heal themselves. By completing this level, you will attain a higher level of self-mastery and spiritual awareness.

The Reiki levels are a general classification of the progress of one's mastery. There is quite a variation in how courses are taught, so it is essential to do research and find the perfect instructor that can suit your needs.
